The Pete Sanders Student Writing Award 2023

The Pete Sanders Student Writing Award 2023

PCCS Books and the Person-Centred Association (tPCA) are proud and delighted to present a new award to support person-centred students in their studies.

As many of you will know, Pete was deeply committed to encouraging trainee counsellors as they progress in their first steps in counselling. He saw every new generation of students as the seedcorn that ensures the person-centred approach continues to grow and develop to meet new and emerging needs and challenges.

With this in mind,  we have created an award in Pete's name, with the aim to recognise and reward creative, critical thinking among students of the person-centred approach.

The award is for a piece of written prose – an essay, article, review or reflective writing – that critiques, interrogates and advances person-centred theory and practice.

There will be 3 awards:

1st -  £400 plus £100 PCCS book tokens

2nd - £100 plus £50 PCCS book tokens

3rd - £50 plus £50 PCCS book tokens
